IPT can work for everyone, from a newborn to the eldest of the senior population.
We all make decisions on how we view and experience life, even brand new babies. Some of these views are learned from generations before, some are due to trauma, world events and loss. Often times we stay stuck in those patterns and begin to feel hopeless, lost. IPT can help to regain clarity, understanding, and most importantly hope and peace.
Self-care and self-healing are one of the hardest, yet most important things we can do for ourselves. As we journey through life from childhood, adolescence and into adulthood , life takes us in many different directions. We make decisions based on how we see our parents handle situations, our perceptions of things and what we think will serve and protect us the most. Often times we then adopt harmful or negative coping mechanisms and beliefs on how we should "do" life. Our own feelings of "not being good enough", "not being loveable", keep us in a place of being stunted emotionally. Creating depression, anxiety, hopelessness and feeling out of control in our existence. IPT can help to release those patterns that are holding you back. It will help to bring balance and possibly find a "you" that has been hidden from view.
In today's unattached world, maintaining a healthy relationship and family can be challenging. Our own backgrounds formed our perceptions of what makes a relationship and/or a family work. These perceptions often keep us in a place of feeling "stuck", not good enough, or ill equipped to manage the stressors on us as a couple or a parent. IPT can help you to move forward, to gain clarity and balance in your relationship and family unit.
For children, their session is used to make a brief "about me " story, to color out their feelings, stressors and beliefs. Then both parent and child has a visualization of what feelings and emotions are surfacing for the child. Thus allowing the child, who may not know how to language these emotions a clear way to communicate openly and effectively with their parent.
Maintaining a positive, productive work environment in today's world is quite a challenge. Many are working from home, a remote office, commuting or a combination of them all. Screen fatigue, uncertainty and general daily work load can create stress in the workplace as well as outside stressors from family and personal relationships. IPT can help ensure that your staff/employees feel stable and balanced.

IPT is in line with the foremost trauma treatments of the day. These modalities include, but are not limited to, the trauma work of Bessel van der Kolk, M.D. and Janina Fisher, Ph.D and brings healing through the blending of many methods including:
The Integrative Processing Technique can help to support and further the work of those in traditional counseling or therapy. IPT itself is not traditional counseling or therapy, in that it does not include diagnosing and/or prescribing medication. Instead, IPT is associated with psycho-neuro immunology (PNI). This science focuses on how our thoughts and feelings affect our health.
For example:
An IPT session is a four-step process used in emotional healing. Each IPT session is lead by a facilitator in a quiet space in-person or over-the-phone. A typical session for an adult lasts about an hour to an hour and a half; children generally an hour or less.
An IPT session feels much like a guided meditation. Your facilitator helps to identify an age for you to work on using muscle response testing (behavioral kinesiology). Together you and the facilitator identify belief systems, choices and emotional perceptions at the age identified by muscle testing.
Through languaging and visualization your facilitator guides you to release the negative emotions and patterns of imbalance, which includes generational clearing, and the final steps of role-playing. The client experiences a sense of release and relief as they emotionally mature and integrate the IPT experience.
During a session, facilitators may use a variety of non-invasive methods, modalities and programs that include MRT (muscle response testing), guided imagery, NLP(neuro-linguistic programming), emotion points, speaking out feelings, role-playing, inner child work, chakra work, emotional release work, and visualization.
The purpose of participating in an IPT session is to bring us to a place of inner healing, peace and a strong sense of well-being.
We work with you to identify challenges in your belief system of marriage to allow you to communicate more honestly and openly in your relationship.
We help to identify beliefs that may be holding you back and keeping you from achieving what your goals are. We help you to break down those blocks and move forward in completing those set goals.
We help you to identify patterns that are not working, either from your own upbringing or current situations and replace them with a non-judgemental, effective communication between you and your child to reach a desired outcome.
IPT helps to release the beliefs of “I am not good enough”, “I am not loveable”, and move to a place of protecting one’s heart and inner peace, to feel good enough and worthy of being loved.
We will help you to find the core of the anxiety, and release the fear surrounding it, to help move you to a place of calmness.
We will help you to find the cause of and let go of the anger and resentment carried, to help bring a balance to the heart and emotions.
We work to identify the core of the held sadness, to release it and begin to bring in hope, light and happiness.
We help to release the patterns of always needing to “fix” someone else, or to rescue them. To learn how to set boundaries, how to not give in, to care and still protect your peace.
We help you to pinpoint harmful beliefs that were decided upon by you on how life had to be done. We help you to release those beliefs and start to look at life and it's challenges with new healthy patterns of coping.
As we begin to heal ourselves, we begin to move from a place of reaction to a place of interaction.
IPT is a "letting go" technique, that helps you to release negative coping mechanisms and patterns, to help you to heal from past traumas and pain, and to move into a place of emotional maturity to handle life in a healthy way.
Often times our way of "dealing" with life brings about undo stress, anxiety, conflict and worry due to the way we have learned or decided we must cope. These patterns often times lead to anger, frustration, resentment and loss of control in our daily interactions. When we seek to heal ourselves, to learn a new way, we we begin healing in all our relationships.
How long does a session last?
-Adult sessions (18 & older) -typically 1 to 1 ½ hours
-Children and teens (0 months to 17) - typically 30 to 45 minutes
Where will my session take place?
-in the office
-Via Zoom
-Via phone call
What will happen during my session?
-An IPT session feels very much like a guided 4 step meditation or a massage for the emotions. We will help you identify an age to work on using Muscle Response Testing (Behavioral Kinesiology). Together you will identify belief systems, choices, and emotional perceptions at the age identified. By using languaging and visualization, we will help to guide you to release the stored negative emotions, patterns of imbalance, which will include a generational clearing , and finally role-playing. The client then experiences a sense of release and relief as they emotionally mature and integrate the IPT experience.
How many sessions do I need?
-That is entirely up to you. Some deep core issues take several sessions to completely clear.
-Some clients choose to do an emotional maintenance to maintain a certain level of inner peace and strong emotional well-being.
